Description
Trunco-conical amber-coloured glass decorated on the base with a serrated cord. The body has appliqués, whose tips have been stretched with tweezers. The upper third, in the space between a small mould and the mouth, is plain. This decorative technique spans a long period - from at least the 12th to 14th century. It is found all over the Mediterranean basin and Northern Europe. The precise place of manufacture can therefore not be determined, although the existence of glassworkers was known in Jerez in the 15th century - a date deduced by the ceramic collection with which it was found.
